"HOW BEAUTIFUL"

                       
Isaiah 52:7, "How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, "Your God reigns!" (NKJV) Read Romans 10:15.

Who has not been overjoyed at the bringing of good news. The birth of a child or grandchild; being hired to a new and well paying job; a loved one recovered from a terrible disease; or countless others.
When in great need, great news is certainly welcomed even in spite of some suffering or pain to get to that desired end result.

We recognize this in our physical life but I believe we avoid such teaching or living of such teaching today when it comes to being Christ-like.

We often want the result without the effort or hard work to get there. We have become a welfare style of church. We want, desire and even feel entitled to the blessings of God and heaven as the end result, but little to no effort is even begun on the part of far too many.

Who suffers? Certainly those who need to hear and come to an understanding of God's Holy Truth as found in His Word. But also those who fail to live that life we are called to live in Christ.

Those in our world who have grown up with the welfare attitude where everything is handed to them without any obligation to work, will pass this lifestyle on to their children, knowing nothing else. The only time these folks speak out is when there is a glitch in the program and the benefits are temporarily stopped. It is often no different in the church.

Our children and future generations suffer as the result. It is the same way in God's Church as well. When generation after generation knows nothing of the effort it takes to reach that end result, no work will be accomplished, only expectations.

With so much ungodly denominational thinking and preaching done today, it is time to get back to 'The Bible' alone because our nation is in great need in this area and there is Good News to tell. God has spoken in His Holy Word so let us listen and let God Himself do the talking and reasoning as we simply get into an honest, deep, thoughtful study of what His Word already says. After all, IT IS TRUTH!!!
