"GOD IS FAITHFUL"

Good day to all and I do hope this writing finds everyone doing well. I want to let you all know that I say a prayer before I send out each of these devotions. My prayer is that each writing will be an encouragement or a help in some way to at least one person who reads them. If they have been in any way a lift to your life please encourage me in return and let me know. I thank you in advance and pray you keep "The Faith".

As we begin today, I want to ask you a question. When is the last time you read the book of Lamentations? For me it was some time ago until this last week. It is a very sad book. And it only seems to get more and more sad as it goes on. The devastation and disaster because of sin and disobedience to God is seen here as a reality that is very difficult to bear when understood. Mankind, you and me, are sinful creatures and our disobedience to God is always before us. We sin daily and need to recognize that. And how it must hurt HIM and how detrimental it is to our lives and the lives of others around us as well. We are an unfaithful people; but, hold on, there is good news.

Right in the middle of this book of Lamentations we find a glimmer of hope. In spite of "US", we find something wonderful, something beautiful. Look with me at chapter 3 and verses 22 and 23.

"The LORD'S loving kindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness."

When you woke up this morning, in spite of all the things you would have to face in your life and deal with, did this cross your mind? I hope so. No matter what your life has in store, no matter what may be in your yesterdays, GOD IS FAITHFUL!! HE may discipline, HE may chastise, HE may allow troubles to come our way and for our benefit, but in the end, if we are true to HIM, HE IS FAITHFUL!!

"Great is Thy faithfulness, Great is Thy faithfulness,
Morning by morning new mercies I see."

What a great song to have on our lips as we approach every new day that God blesses for us to serve HIM! May HE bless you as you continue to bless and serve HIM.

Until our next time.......
